Toys for 3 Year Olds

Three year olds are notoriously independent. By now, you’ve probably heard many versions of “I can do it myself!” Just give yourself extra time in your daily routine and practice a lot of deep breathing and you’ll get through this phase. There are many upsides to this age—your toddler’s expanding use of language is sure to bring a lot of smiles. At three, your child’s attention span also increases and she will benefit from toys that engage her sense of make believe. Drawing and storytime may also be some of her favorite things to do. Geeky toys that build a STEM foundation also give her opportunities to learn independently. For instance, sand and water play can teach the early principles of physics. Durable and educational toys will give your exploring toddler excellent opportunities for self-directed play.
